WRITING CONTEST: Welcome back from break! Time to get your pencils out and begin your entry for the District Writing Contest! Poems, stories, and essays must be turned into a Language Arts teacher by Wednesday, April 5. Rules can be found on posters throughout the school.
LOST & FOUND: If you have lost ANYTHING such as jewelry, headphones, whatever.....you need to see Shelly in the main office asap.
REMINDER! There will be a Brainerd Warrior Fishing Team registration meeting on Friday, March 24th at 6pm in the cafeteria. Don’t miss it!
ATTENTION Junior/Senior Female students: Central Lakes College plans to host a "Girls in Trades" VIP Tour at CLC on Thursday, April 13 from 9-12 noon. The tour would include visits to our Welding, Natural Resources, Automotive, Ag and Marine and Small Engine programs. Students would visit classrooms and labs and enjoy a special lunch. Advanced sign up is required. If interested, see Shelly Streed in the Student Success Center by Friday, March 24th.
YEARBOOKS: Not sure if you ordered a book? Please email Mr. Wagner at email@example.com and he will let you know. We have sold 94% of our books and we will sell out, so if you are planning on getting one, DO NOT WAIT! Order forms are in the main office of both buildings, or you can order online at jostensyearbooks.com. Distribution will be May 15-19th.

BRAINERD COMPETITIVE SPEECH TEAM: Great job at the Maple Grove Speech Tournament on the 12th. In discussion Kirsten Schroer took 2nd and Luke Norquist 1st in honor finals, in extemp speaking Maddie Schuld finished 1st, Camryn Schmidt 2nd, Julia Chock 6th and Emily Severson 7th and Andrew Mendez took 2nd in honor finals. Great job!
PSEO MEETING: There is space available for the PSEO (Post Secondary Enrollment Option) information meeting that will be held in the cafeteria of BHS from 3:30-4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 21. Students should sign up in advance in the Student Success Center for the PSEO session.
AP CAPSTONE: All students interested in registering for the AP Seminar and AP Research courses for next year should attend a brief informational meeting in Mr. Hewitt's room (A164) on TUESDAY, MARCH 21st, at 8:00 am. Students will learn more about these courses and the AP Capstone Diploma. Both Mrs. Harmer and Mr. Hewitt will be available to answer student questions.
CONGRATULATIONS to the Brainerd High School Knowledge Bowl Teams for another successful year. We qualified 6 out 7 teams to the Regions Tournament that was held on Thursday, March 9th. Brainerd's team "Thassafrath" took first place and will be advancing to the State Tournament on April 6th and 7th. Kyle Hensel, Sam Dirks, and Matt Greatens competed two contestants short. The team will be joining together once again to compete at the State Tournament. Good luck at State!
GIRL’S GOLF: There will be a meeting for anyone Interested in Girl's Golf on Tuesday, March 21st at 3:30 in the North Campus Choir Room. If you cannot attend or have questions, please see Coach Aulie in the Choir Room.
BOY’S GOLF MEETING: All boys interested in varsity and junior varsity golf please report to Mr. Nelson's room (under the library) at BHS on Tuesday, March 21st at 3:30. The meeting will last until 4:00. No clubs needed. Coach Wallace
BRAINERD BOYS TENNIS will start on MONDAY, March 27th, 2017. Eligibility papers and athletic fee must be turned in before participation, March 27th. Any questions regarding eligibility paperwork or fee -stop by and check with Michelle in the Activities Office. Be prepared to practice either inside or outside. Have warm clothes, racquet, tennis shoes ready for the start of our season. Questions or concerns, see Ms. Fussy.
