GENERAL INFORMATION

SENIORS!  Apply for an MMBA scholarship! Seniors planning to pursue a degree in the Building Trades or Construction Management can apply for the $500 Builders Group Scholarship.  Students whose parents work at an MMBA member company (there are TONS of them!) may apply for the general MMBA scholarship valued up to $3,000 (amounts vary).  Deadline to apply is Friday, April 14!!!


ATHLETIC SIGNINGS:  On Wednesday, April 12 at 3:15 in the BHS NC Cafeteria, we will have athletic signings for several students.  Don’t miss it!!

MUSKIE TOURNAMENT:  Anyone interested in fishing in the Minnesota State High School Muskie Regional tournament this summer should see Mr. Freed or

Mr. McDuffee for paperwork and details.


FOOTBALL:  Anyone interested in playing football next fall who are currently in grades 9-11 should sign up for the Thursday WIN that is offered under Coach Freed's name.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!  Camp Invention is a weeklong summer STEM camp for elementary age students in grades K-6.  It's offered the week of July 17-21 at the CLC campus from 8:30-3:45 daily.  If you are interested in being a Volunteer Intern (help strengthen college, scholarship or job applications) please contact Terri Ebinger at 218-839-7201 or terri.ebinger@isd181.org

WANT A VOICE in BHS Student Council?  Homecoming?  Pepfests? Spirit Weeks?  BHS Student/Teacher Climate???  RUN FOR STUDENT COUNCIL!

All 9 - 11 students interested in running for a delegate position to the 2017-2018 student council need to pick up candidate forms from Mrs. Bastian A146 or Michelle Hilborn in the Activities Office.  Candidate forms are to be completed and returned to either Mrs. Bastian or Michelle Hilborn by Friday, May 5th.

Campaign week will be May 8th - May 12th. Students who have turned in candidate forms will pick up rules when they submit their candidate form.


SENIORS:  The National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC) is being offered April 12 and 13 in SC403 from 8:20 A.M. - Noon. The NCRC  is required to complete your Bridges Career Academy and wear the green rope!  Sign up in the Student Success Center or email Jama.Davidson@isd181.org.  Maximum of 30 students per session.


CALLING ALL ARTISTS!!! The Spring Art Show and Contest is upon us! Please bring display-ready artworks to Room B101, where you will find labels and labeling instructions. Deadline is April 21st all artwork will be judged by community artists on April 25th, 26th and 27th. More information to come about the Senior Fine Arts Banquet on May 1st. Thanks, The BHS Art Dept.
